Buying Pokémon trading cards in the UK

Two things drive the price of a Pokémon card: the set it came from and the grade on the slab. A Base Set holo in a PSA 9 sits in a different market to the same card raw, and both sit apart from a modern chase card pulled last month.

We list graded cards with the certification number visible so you can check the card on the grader's own database before you buy. Sealed product stays sealed: no weighing, no resealing, no picked boxes.

Graded cards or sealed boxes

Graded cards give you a fixed condition and a resale market that prices off the grade. If you want a specific card at a known condition, buy the slab.

Sealed boxes and Elite Trainer Boxes give you the pull and the option to hold. Print runs close, stock dries up, and sealed modern sets tend to move on availability rather than condition.

Checking a card before you buy

Look at centering, edge whitening, surface scratches under angled light, and the print quality of the holo pattern. Counterfeit modern cards usually fail on texture and back colour.

Our guide to spotting fakes walks through the checks with photos.

Sealed Pokémon Boxes UK questions

Are your Pokémon cards genuine?
Yes. Graded cards carry a certification number you can verify on the grading company's own lookup. Sealed product is bought through established supply channels and shipped unopened.
Do you ship Pokémon cards across the UK?
Yes. Orders placed before the daily cut-off ship the same working day, tracked, from the UK.
Should I buy graded or raw Pokémon cards?
Buy graded when condition matters to the price, such as vintage holos. Buy raw when you want the card for a set build or plan to submit it for grading yourself.
